Abstract
In this chapter, I invite you to explore the nuanced relationship between your PGCert and the 2023 Professional Standards Framework (PSF). I prompt you to consider: what is the added value of the PGCert over achieving Fellowship only? How does aligning your PGCert to the PSF 2023 enhance its value for participants and institutions? And what are key considerations when (re-)accrediting your PGCert provision?
Through case studies, I illustrate the unique developmental benefits of the PGCert beyond direct Fellowship applications and examine the process and opportunities of PSF accreditation. I also offer warnings about potential pitfalls, such as overemphasis on compliance.
