Abstract
Part I sets the foundation for the book by addressing key questions such as:
- What framework(s) can help PGCert leads design and offer more impactful PGCerts?
- What shorter educational development provisions can institutions put in place before participants join the next iteration of the PGCert?
In Chapter 1, PGCert values, I introduce a ‘roots-to-shoots’ framework that positions inclusivity and related values as a core ethos of PGCerts, making the course more accessible, context-aware and a model of more inclusive practices in your context.
In Chapter 2, Before joining the PGCert, I discuss related pre-course provisions that help to prepare participants for their PGCert learning journey.
What I hope you will get out of reading this section:
- A practical framework to design more inclusive and impactful PGCert courses.
- Ideas for staff development activities to implement before participants begin the PGCert.
